Black Swans in the markets teach investors unexpected and lasting lessons. Volatility is measured and traded in the markets all the TIME, and is a gauge of emotions. But what about our personal Black Swans?  Positive Black Swans can send us into states of euphoria, but negative Black Swans can dramatically impact our lives and send us into zones of fear we want to get out of as soon as possible. Spikes in “personal volatility” are happening to countless numbers of people in communities all the TIME and when it is our turn or our family’s turn the lessons come home and become very real.  There is a huge role for Impact Investing in all of this.
